Brocante's answer to a splendid garden dinner party

In the midst of this heatwave, thoughts here at Brocante are centered on lunch time ice creams, after work sea swims (for some!) followed by dinner in the garden. As if reading my mind, Kieron has just this minute walked into the shop with ice creams, would you believe!

Ice cream breaks are the best 5 minutes!

Fueled by chocolate ice cream, we are delighted to let you know about our range of lovely large salad bowls, serving platters, plates and bowls. If you have been to our shops, or even walked past, you may have spotted them in our window display. Bright, vibrant sea life designs, on durable, dishwasher safe melamine, but which really looks like ceramic, and has fooled many people, who until picking up a piece, are convinced that it is ceramic.

These plates are just perfect for summer entertaining, pile the bowls high with huge salads, stack the platters full of fish fresh from the bbq and let everybody help themselves using either the dinner plates or side plates, leaving room of course for dessert using the bowls. antipasti, salads, barbequed sausages (simple but who doesn’t love a slightly too hot bbq sausage!!) pasta dishes, I am picturing the best garden dinner party ever. Being melamine, you don’t have to worry about your lovely new dishes getting knocked or chipped on their first use, and what is best is that when everybody has gone home, you can throw them in the dishwasher, for a stress free clean up.
